Meet Our Team

Scott Mittl

Scott Mittl, Vice President of Sales, has been an employee of INSACO since 1990 and is responsible for sales engineering activity including quotations and account management. He takes an aggressive proactive approach to developing new customers and new product applications. This approach includes developing subcontractors to offer new capabilities/services to our customers. With his technical expertise and experience he can provide guidance in designing products using the materials we machine. He has a B.A. in Applied Sciences and a B.S. in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University and is a member of the American Ceramic Society.

Geary Leatherman

Geary Leatherman has been a member of the INSACO Sales Team since May 2014.  As a Sales Engineer, he is responsible for market saturation, new business development and quotations.  He has over 6 years of sales and account management experience in the manufacturing and machining industry.  Geary is proficient in developing strong business relationships as well as providing engineering guidance as it pertains to the ceramic machining industry.  He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, with a major in Management.  Geary is also a member of The American Ceramic Society.

Jackson Evans

Jackson Evans is the newest member of the INSACO Sales Team, having been a Sales Engineer since July 2021. Jackson works directly with customers, utilizing his knowledge of ceramic materials and INSACO’s machining capabilities to ensure that parts requested will meet customers’ expectations to the fullest. He is responsible for market analysis, developing new business, and quotations. He graduated from Lehigh University in 2021 with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and is also a former member of the university’s football team.

Sales Representatives

D. Scott Buchanan Ph.D.

Scott Buchanan has worked with INSACO for over 10 years. He is responsible for customers in the western US and the western National Labs. He holds a Ph.D. in experimental physics with extensive background in multiple areas of business from marketing through production to sales. Scott brings a depth of applications expertise allowing him to help customers match their application needs and requirements to the materials and machining capabilities available through INSACO Inc.

Joseph C. Mittl

Joseph C. Mittl is a Ceramist and responsible for the New England and New York sales territory since 2010.  He has extensive knowledge of material property information for advanced ceramics and glass.  His approach is to help customers develop new and innovative applications using these materials. His prior employment experience has been in materials research at the Idaho National Lab working for the Department of Energy developing strategic materials.  He also worked for an international materials consulting organization and a custom ceramic grinding facility.  Mr. Mittl holds a BS in Ceramic Science and is an active member in the American Ceramic Society.

Klaus Burckhardt

Klaus A. Burckhardt, PE, has retired from active Sales activities at INSACO as of 2014, he continues with the the company on a part time basis assisting in our Marketing and Trade Show efforts.
